This set of 8 matching livery buttons are made by R E Haywards who were based in 50 Long Acre London in the 1800's. Some of the maker's mark differ slightly but they are all marked.
Dates in operation were 1853 - 1895
Features a bird on a rope with a ring in its mouth - I cant find any reference to this emblem
Measures 25mm across, brass is shiny and the reverse sides are darkened but good condition, metal loop shank
