I usually sell these items separately but this is such a lovely set I have a price for the full set.
I think the pattern may be called "Spring" but now I want to check I cant find a reference for this. It is the celadon green colour with cream trim and of course the lovely stylised leaping deer so evocative of the era.
Multiple uses as could be tea and hot water or tea and coffee pot ot two coffee pots! The cups are coffee size.
Large pot is 14cms tall
Smaller pot 12cms (there is a small fault on the spout which is fully glazed over so I guess from manufacture)
Sugar bowl is 7.5cms across and milk or cream jug 6.5cms tall
Cup 7cms across and saucer 11.5cms - there are 6 of these
Black printed makers mark Poole England with Dolphin and Hand made Hand decorated, also some script numbers vary on each piece.
Good condition

Just to say the design is called 'spring'. A Truda Carter design from the 1940's relaunched in 1952. These date from the 1952-55 period. There were several patterns produced in 1952 as part of Poole's patterned streamline range. This also known as leaping deer was the most popular. They also made complete dinner services in this range, both in celadon (green) and shell pink. These are a great design, still quite popular in the UK. Regards from Aberystwyth, Wales, UK.
