From Wedgwood Made in England in the lovely Contrasts Gifting range this is a basalt black base and a white glaze top.
A lithophane - a fancy word for a votive candle holder in fine china that allows the lovely glow to shine through the china, and in this case give a ribbed effect.
The base is also patterned and has a lovely edge.
Stands approx 9cms tall.
In original box.
