S Kirkpatrick & Co fruit preserving works was an inportant industry based in Nelson in the early 1900's.
I assume this jar was full when bought rather than bought for home preserving.
K Brand K Registered embosed on the front and S. Kirkpatrick & Co Ltd. Nelson embossed around the shoulders.
Stands 13cms tall.
It has a little chip out of the second row on the glass screw bands but otherwise is good condition.
A lovely reminder of Nelson history and great for storage and displays.
