Looks like a wild hair comb!! But, this is an angel cake cutter, separater, splitter or breaker!
The 18 long fork tines allow the cake to be divided without being squashed.

Measures 28cms long and 9cms long prongs
The plain handle has a Sterling mark and the other side S Kirk and Son - probably 1930's from the mark.
A little discolouration on the tines but still smooth
