This "chalky" pottery is so easy to mark, chip and generally beat up it is a wonder there are any examples left.
The glazes are like a powder coating and the painted decoration is not fired.
This lidded container is by Era Ware England probably 1930's?
A fabulous art deco shape and design is hand painted.
It measures 15cms x 8.5cms
